Picture you’re in the town of Capri, Italy, overlooking the crisp blue water. You're wearing a Brioni suit, a Rolex Watch, and Prada Loafers. As lavish as you are feeling, you're enjoying it all alone. Owen Flynn's music transforms you into a mindset of a luxurious lifestyle, while leaving you feeling with or without love, depending on the song. His cinematic strings over these grooves of bass and drums bring you back to the old Neo-Soul eras and harmonies that fill the rooms with a lushness that makes you melt. While Owen loves making Neo-Soul style R&B, he also enjoys creating Hip-Hop beats that are sample-forward with amazing layers, with sampled drum breaks chopped up to make his own rhythm. 

Owen grew up in New Jersey, where he spent a lot of time at his grandparents' house. While he was being looked after when his parents were at work, his uncle would watch the Thriller music video on repeat, every single day. He never had a chance to get away from music. After that were hours of watching Michael Jackson's music videos, and it bloomed into something more as he grew up. Although his journey of creating music was a very late start. Within only three years, he has made creating music his number one priority. 

He would often say his influences would be the piano-based Neo-Soul classics and innovators like Erykah Badu and the Internet. With the undeniable grooves that leave your whole body moving, with R&B chords that fill you with emotion, and the use of new sounds to add a form of innovation. His love for Hip-Hop allowed him to learn how to create samples, like The Alchemist, dense layers to his music like Tyler, the Creator, and the crisp, hard-hitting drums like Pharrell. Although his music heavily points towards those two genres, his love for music has allowed him to add so many staples of different genres into his own music.  His love for Jazz, especially Japanese Jazz, has given him access to add the stunning harmonies.

Owen's only goal is to give you the sound that fills the void in you, whether the void is happiness, sadness, anger, or confusion. Everyone hears music differently and paints a canvas in their heads of what they hear. He just wants to be able to give you the brush and paint. “Listening to music still, I go into this deep daydream and have these emotions be filled through a story in my mind completely different from the song's purpose, meaning you can have an idea of how you want people to feel when they hear it, but their experiences will allow them to see something I can’t, which is amazing.” While he was trying to achieve this through music production, he also dipped his hands in other things, such as singing in the world-renowned annual show, Christmas at Belmont, for University Singers. 

While Owen Flynn's music sounds like a soundtrack for a person living in first class, the layers and emotions through the grooves give you the feeling that there is something more here. Unfortunately, there is nothing available or an official release on the calendar. He has been working nonstop to define his production skills, studying and practicing to give something to the world of music. However, when the music is here, you will not want to miss what is going to be showcased.
